Job Summary
The Account Executive is an outside (field-based) sales role responsible for developing new business opportunities and expanding commercial sales and services. This position focuses on driving revenue growth through prospecting, customer presentations, and relationship building.

The Account Executive will establish and maintain long-term client relationships, ensure customer retention, and achieve territory growth by delivering exceptional service and leveraging company sales tools and systems. This role engages with customers independently, with leadership, in person, and by phone, while also monitoring market competition and local sales trends.

The ideal candidate is highly ambitious, results-driven, and self-motivated, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly connect with others in an authentic and enthusiastic way.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, working with management to develop strategies and target accounts.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key commercial customers to support long-term business growth.
  • Generate replacement, retrofit, and service contract sales through methods such as cold calling, referrals, networking, and in-person meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and service teams to understand needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare proposals and present technical information in a clear and customer-friendly manner.
  • Review service activities and work orders to develop accurate cost estimates.
  • Document all sales activities in the CRM system to track pipelines and measure closure rates.
  • Consistently follow up with prospects and customers to close sales and achieve targets.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
  • Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.

Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required;bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct sales experience in the commercial HVAC/mechanical industry.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-disciplined.
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and act on large amounts of data.
  • Adaptable and effective in a fast-paced, growing environment.
  • Skilled in building rapport and collaborating internally and externally.
  • Proficient with CRM tools (e.G., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5–7 years of direct sales experience in the commercial HVAC/mechanical industry.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Primarily office-based with intermittent walking, standing, and stooping.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds (e.G., files, office supplies, equipment).
  • Requires use of motor skills for handling office equipment and technology.
  • Regular visual demands for reading documents, spreadsheets, maps, and computer screens.
