Technical Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to support digital product initiatives focused on fraud prevention and financial crimes. These roles will operate at the project and stakeholder level, partnering with executive leadership and business teams to scope and define initiatives before handing them off to delivery teams for execution.
The ideal candidate is highly skilled at translating complex business problems into clear technical requirements that can be effectively implemented by IT and engineering teams. You will help shape initiatives, define the size and scope of work, align stakeholders, and monitor project progress throughout the lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with executive stakeholders and business leaders to scope new fraud and financial crimes initiatives, identifying business needs, expected outcomes, and estimated level of effort.
- Translate complex business problems into clear, actionable technical requirements for engineering and IT teams.
- Lead project-level planning, including initiative sizing, solution alignment, and stakeholder coordination prior to execution.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business teams, fraud operations, and technology teams, ensuring alignment and clear communication.
- Monitor project progress and outcomes across the lifecycle, ensuring initiatives stay aligned with business goals and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with development teams and product owners while maintaining oversight rather than direct execution responsibility.
- Support initiatives related to fraud detection systems, digital product enhancements, and financial crime prevention capabilities.
- Track project status, documentation, and work progress using project management tools.
- 4+ years of experience in the technology space working as a Technical Project Manager, Product Owner, or similar role supporting software development teams.
- Strong experience communicating between business stakeholders and IT teams, translating requirements into technical direction.
- Experience working within the financial services sector, particularly with fraud prevention or financial crimes initiatives.
- Experience working with or supporting Actimize fraud detection systems.
- Proven ability to scope initiatives, estimate effort, and define expected outcomes for technical teams.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
