Job Description

Job Duties:
  • Receives inbound calls for information from current and prospective members.
  • Provides information to Members regarding, e.G., public information on from our website, directions where they can go on our website for education or more information, Medicare annual enrollment dates.
  • Fulfilling member requests to mail our product agnostic Medicare guidebook materials.
  • Taking demographic information to establish member number for new members.
  • Help establish Member number so material can be mailed.
  • Unlicensed Call Center Rep. Will not discuss plans
  • Call volumes will vary, average call volume 25-30 per day.
  • Weekly schedules may be up to 40-hours and may have varying shift start/stop times.
  • Daily shifts are eight to ten hours each.
  • Work is typically performed in a call center environment.
  • Much of the work is typically conducted over the phone while sitting at a computer workstation.


Minimum Education:

High school diploma or GED


Minimum Experience:

6+ month’ s customer service/sales experience or successful completion of military service or 30 hours college credit


Preferred Requirements:
  • One year Medicare/or health insurance industry experience
  • Basic knowledge of life and/or health insurance products
  • Familiarity with external Medicare resources
  • Knowledge of Windows operating environment
  • Knowledge of MS Office software
  • Written and oral expression - the ability to communicate information in a way that is easily understood
  • Reading and oral comprehension - the ability to understand information in writing and spoken words
  • Active listening - listening to fully understand and clarifying when necessary
  • Critical thinking - using logic and reasoning to evaluate alternatives
  • Judgment and decision making - evaluating courses of action and choosing the most appropriate
  • Service orientation - actively looking for ways to help others
