We are seeking a highly motivated Controller to join our Accounting Department. This role reports directly to the CFO and is responsible for day-to-day financial management, oversight of accounting operations, and ensuring the integrity of all financial systems and reporting.

We are seeking a highly motivated Controller to join our Accounting Department. This role reports directly to the CFO and is responsible for day-to-day financial management, oversight of accounting operations, and ensuring the integrity of all financial systems and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting processes, transactions, and reporting in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Prepare and deliver timely financial reports, projections, variance analyses, and management reporting.
- Manage annual audit preparation, including audit schedules, account reconciliations, and tax documentation.
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial, administrative, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Consolidate, analyze, and interpret financial statements and operational reports.
- Lead, develop, train, and evaluate finance and accounting team members.
- Coordinate preparation of income, sales, and personal property tax schedules.
- Assist with insurance-related schedules, including General Liability, Property, and Workers’Compensation.
- Oversee cost accounting functions, including material, labor, and overhead variance analysis and cost allocation.
- Lead cost variance review meetings and communicate financial insights to stakeholders.
- Manage quarterly and year-end inventory processes and inventory analysis for raw materials and finished goods.
- Establish and monitor policies for daily operational and administrative procedures.
- Coordinate and manage all internal and external audits.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and short- and long-term financial strategy.
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, collaborative management style.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to prioritize and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- CPA or MBA required.
- Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
- Experience with enterprise systems and system implementations preferred.
- Manufacturing and/or retail accounting experience preferred.
- Proven experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to perform physical activity for 8+ hours per day with scheduled breaks, including standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive motions.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods (8–10 hours).
- Manual dexterity and close visual acuity required for computer-based financial analysis and reporting.
