Customer Service Specialist
Job Description
Our client is seeking a Customer Relations Specialist to support members with life and health insurance policy servicing needs. This role focuses on delivering a positive member experience by responding to service requests, identifying member needs, documenting important information, and helping members understand available products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, process, and fulfill member service requests related to life and health insurance policies through various contact channels.
- Apply foundational customer service and member servicing techniques to address inquiries and resolve routine service needs.
- Ask effective questions to identify member needs, life events, and relevant information to support appropriate service solutions.
- Accurately document member interactions, requests, and relevant details in applicable systems.
- Recognize verbal cues and potential opportunities to connect members with products or services that may address their needs.
- Encourage members to take appropriate action to meet their insurance and service needs.
- Deliver a positive member experience while meeting established quality, service, and performance standards.
- Support enterprise business goals by maintaining high levels of service quality, accuracy, and member satisfaction.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Up to 1 year of relevant customer service or sales experience.
- Experience multitasking within a Windows operating system environment.
- Strong verbal communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to identify customer needs by asking questions and recognizing verbal cues.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accurate documentation practices.
- Ability to navigate multiple tasks and provide professional, member-focused service.
