Senior Oracle GoldenGate DBA (Level 3)Position Overview
A large enterprise technology environment is seeking a Senior Oracle GoldenGate Database Administrator (L3) to support and maintain high-availability database replication platforms. This role focuses on real-time data replication, database performance optimization, and operational support across complex Oracle database environments.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Oracle GoldenGate and Oracle database administration, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to operate effectively in a mission-critical, 24x7 production environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesOracle GoldenGate Administration

  • Install, configure, and administer Oracle GoldenGate (Classic and Microservices architectures) to support real-time data replication and synchronization.

  • Manage GoldenGate services using components such as Administration Server, Service Manager, and Performance Metrics Service.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot replication processes to resolve issues including replication lag, data conflicts, and process failures.

  • Implement performance tuning and parallel replication strategies to improve throughput and replication efficiency.

  • Design and support heterogeneous replication environments between Oracle and non-Oracle databases.
Database Administration & Performance Optimization

  • Support and administer Oracle database environments (18c/19c) in high-availability configurations.

  • Work closely with technologies including RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Exadata, and enterprise monitoring tools.

  • Analyze database and replication performance using tools such as AWR and ADDM.

  • Implement performance improvements and capacity planning strategies for high-volume database environments.

  • Support database migration and data movement using Data Pump (Export/Import) utilities.
Automation & Operational Support

  • Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate monitoring, reporting, and operational tasks.

  • Participate in incident resolution and root cause analysis for critical database issues.

  • Provide on-call and rotational shift support within a 24x7 operational environment.

  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives to enhance platform stability and performance.
Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate deployment, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

  • Expertise with Oracle 18c/19c database environments.

  • Experience supporting RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and high-availability database architectures.

  • Strong experience with database performance tuning and diagnostics tools (AWR, ADDM).

  • Proficiency in shell scripting and operational automation.

  • Experience working with large-scale data replication and high-volume database environments.

  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Agile or DevOps delivery environments.

  • Familiarity with JIRA or other issue tracking tools.

  • Exposure to enterprise monitoring platforms and automation frameworks.
Work Environment

  • Operates within a fast-paced, enterprise technology environment supporting mission-critical systems.

  • Requires participation in rotational shifts and on-call support to maintain 24x7 platform availability.
