We are seeking an experienced Data Center Construction Manager to lead large-scale, complex infrastructure projects. This is a senior onsite leadership role responsible for managing all phases of construction execution—from planning through commissioning and closeout.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in structured cabling, low-voltage systems, and fiber installations, along with a strong ability to lead large field teams and deliver projects safely, on time, and to high-quality standards.

- Exempt, salaried position based on experience and skill level
- Employment type: Contract with potential for extension or full-time conversion
- Standard site hours: Monday–Friday, 7: 00 AM to ~3: 30–5: 00 PM (after-hours and weekend work as needed)
- Location: Fully onsite at a project site in New Albany, Ohio
- Travel: Up to 15%–50% depending on project needs

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Construction Manager to lead large-scale, complex infrastructure projects. This is a senior onsite leadership role responsible for managing all phases of construction execution—from planning through commissioning and closeout.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in structured cabling, low-voltage systems, and fiber installations, along with a strong ability to lead large field teams and deliver projects safely, on time, and to high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Safety Leadership
- Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific requirements
- Lead job site safety initiatives, incident investigations, and continuous improvement efforts
- Develop and execute project plans, installation strategies, and site logistics
- Maintain and manage 5-week look-ahead schedules, labor forecasts, and daily progress tracking
- Oversee field operations to meet production goals, budgets, and schedule milestones
- Coordinate with project management and procurement for material delivery and staging
- Serve as the subject matter expert for data center low-voltage, structured cabling, and fiber systems
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ANSI/TIA, BICSI, NEBS) and project specifications
- Lead testing and commissioning efforts (OTDR, power meter validation, labeling standards)
- Manage RFIs, change orders, and resolve design or field conflicts
- Lead and manage large field teams (60–100+ technicians)
- Oversee hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to improve team performance and quality
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and collaboration
- Act as the primary onsite point of contact for construction operations
- Participate in site meetings, walkthroughs, and milestone reviews
- Proactively address project challenges, delays, and execution issues
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of relevant supervisory experience in construction or structured cabling environments
- Experience managing large field teams (60–100+)
- Strong knowledge of data center environments (new builds or retrofits preferred)
- Working knowledge of fiber testing (including OTDR) and ISP-related audits
- Experience with change management processes and RFIs
- Proficiency with MS Office, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and performance tracking metrics (SPI/CPI)
- Strong understanding of:
- Cabling standards, labeling, and documentation
- Rack/stack installations and infrastructure layouts
- Quality control and punch-list management
- Preventative maintenance and inspections
- Vendor and cross-trade coordination
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of construction management experience, including 5+ years in data center environments
- Experience supporting both new construction and retrofit projects
- Familiarity with union labor environments (not required)
Certifications (Preferred or Required Upon Hire)
- OSHA 30 (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- BICSI Technician (TECH)
- BICSI RCDD
- Additional cabling and network certifications
Additional Responsibilities
- Direct onsite technicians performing rack, stack, and cabling work
- Coordinate structured cabling installations, reroutes, and clean-up efforts
- Monitor workmanship quality, labeling accuracy, and pathway management
- Conduct daily walkthroughs to identify risks, inefficiencies, or issues
- Support build-outs and expansions in both fixed and modular/containerized facilities
- Perform and support onsite audits
