Overview
The Data Center Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering a wide range of data center initiatives, including new builds, expansions, migrations, upgrades, and decommissioning efforts. This role partners closely with cross-functional internal teams and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety, security, and regulatory requirements.

This is a hybrid role requiring approximately three days per week onsite. Office and project locations may vary across the DFW area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of data center projects, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules covering design, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, and decommissioning phases.

  • Create and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and financial reporting.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and cross-functional coordination, including facilities, infrastructure teams, and third-party vendors.

  • Ensure all projects adhere to safety, compliance, and regulatory standards.

  • Support capacity planning efforts and long-term data center strategy initiatives.

  • Travel to various facilities as required to support project needs.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience within data center or infrastructure environments.

  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, racks, cabling, and networking.

  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-vendor projects.

  • Prior experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools or implementations.

  • Ability to work efficiently and independently, applying strong analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.

  • Working knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, and Visio.

  • Ability to align technical solutions and project tasks with defined business requirements.

  • Strong multitasking capabilities and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Willingness and ability to travel to other facilities as needed.
