Job Description


Our client is seeking a motivated Engineering Manager to oversee engineering design, approvals, and execution for large-scale utility and energy infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, hands-on experience reviewing and approving engineering drawings, and proficiency with SCADA or equivalent electrical analysis tools. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead high-impact projects with support for relocation for qualified candidates and their families.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review, verify, and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and design documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Manage and support engineering and design activities for utility-scale power generation and infrastructure projects.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination between engineering, drafting, and project management teams to ensure scope, schedule, and budget objectives are met.
  • Utilize SCADA or equivalent software for system modeling, fault studies, and protective coordination analysis.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet client, regulatory, and permitting requirements.
  • Collaborate with EPC contractors, suppliers, and consultants to resolve technical challenges and provide guidance on RFIs and NCRs.
  • Support project execution by coordinating with procurement, operations, and internal project teams.
  • Identify potential risks and develop technical solutions to maintain project performance and compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
  • 2–3 years of professional engineering experience with utility-scale energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in SCADA or equivalent electrical engineering design/analysis software.
  • Strong command of AutoCAD or similar drafting/design platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing and approving detailed engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and codes (NEC, IEEE, NESC, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
