Fiber Technician
Location: Dallas–Fort Worth (Home-to-Job)
Type: Contract-to-Hire (720 hours / ~4 months)
Schedule: Monday–Saturday, 6: 00 AM –4: 30 PM
Travel: Local projects targeted within 45 miles of home
About the Role
We are seeking experienced Fiber Technicians to support large-scale commercial and data center projects across the DFW metroplex. This is a field-based, home-to-job role no daily office reporting required. Technicians should be reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working extended hours on active job sites.

Key Responsibilities
- Dress, prep, and splice single-mode, multi-mode, stranded, and ribbon fiber
- Install and work with MPO and pre-terminated fiber systems
- Perform fiber testing using Fluke and/or Viavi testers
- Troubleshoot and resolve fiber installation and performance issues
- Maintain quality workmanship while meeting project timelines
- Follow safety standards and job site requirements at all times
- Proven hands-on experience with fiber splicing and termination
- Familiarity with MPO and pre-terminated fiber solutions
- Experience testing and certifying fiber using Fluke or Viavi equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills across fiber types
- Reliable transportation is required
- Ability to work extended hours and maintain consistent attendance
- Accountability - ability to show up on time and work hard
- Data center project experience
- Home-to-job assignments (no office check-ins)
- Projects targeted within 45 miles of home
- Prevailing wage for longer commutes (case-by-case)
- Per diem for extended-distance projects
