Role Summary
PRG is seeking a highly strategic and execution-focused Chief of Staff, Finance & Digital Transformation (Contract) to partner directly with the CFO to lead modernization initiatives across the Finance organization. This role will coordinate and accelerate digital transformation, strengthen financial systems and controls, optimize processes, and drive cross-functional alignment across Finance, IT, Operations, and executive leadership.
The ideal candidate brings deep accounting expertise (CPA required), proven leadership in managing enterprise-level transformation initiatives, and strong operational rigor. This position is accountable for orchestrating the finance transformation roadmap—ranging from ERP optimization and automation to close acceleration, audit readiness, and data governance—while ensuring clear communication, disciplined execution, and measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Partner to the CFO
  • Serve as the CFO’s right hand in planning, executing, and tracking strategic priorities.
  • Translate executive vision into an actionable transformation roadmap with clear milestones, KPIs, and ROI expectations.
  • Facilitate executive alignment and cross-functional communication across the enterprise.
  1. Finance Modernization & Operational Excellence
  • Oversee initiatives to reduce the monthly close timeline, strengthen GAAP compliance, standardize intercompany processes, and modernize accounting workflows.
  • Drive policy, controls, and documentation improvements to ensure audit-ready accuracy and consistency across Finance.
  • Lead financial process redesign efforts, including prepaid amortization, accrual methodologies, variance analysis, and reconciliation discipline.
  1. Digital Transformation, Technology & Automation
  • Provide strategic stewardship for ERP optimization (NetSuite preferred), automation tools, systems enhancements, and future-state architecture.
  • Lead process automation initiatives, leveraging workflow technology, RPA, low-code solutions, and data visualization platforms (Power BI).
  • Establish data governance standards surrounding financial master data, chart of accounts, and intercompany alignment.
  1. Program & Portfolio Leadership
  • Build and direct a small transformation office/PMO to oversee project execution across Finance and related functions.
  • Manage timelines, risk mitigation, vendor/SI partners, budget adherence, and stakeholder adoption.
  • Implement repeatable program management discipline—status reporting, issue tracking, executive updates, and benefits realization.
  1. Leadership, Influence & Team Building
  • Provide leadership and guidance across Finance, IT, and operations teams, influencing without authority while ensuring accountability.
  • Mentor Finance team members on process thinking, data literacy, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, operational rigor, and collaborative problem-solving.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • CPA required (active or inactive accepted).
  • 10+ years progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, FP&A, strategy, transformation, or PMO leadership.
  • Strong expertise in GAAP, intercompany accounting, and audit requirements.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale transformation initiatives across Finance/ERP landscape.
  • ERP experience required;NetSuite strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, solve complex problems, and drive enterprise-wide alignment.
  • Strong communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available).

Contract Details
  • On-site role, 5 days per week, in Atlanta, GA.
  • Full-time availability required.
  • Duration: Flexible (typically 8-9 months with potential extension).
