Job Description
Now Hiring: General Ledger Accountant –Oil Transportation Company (San Antonio, TX)
Peyton Resource Group is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join a fast-paced and growing oil transportation company. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting payroll, and collaborating closely with operations to ensure smooth business flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for accurate financial reporting
- Collaborate with operations to review driver routes and customer rate issues
- Support weekly payroll by calculating driver supplementals and training pay
- Prepare and manage accurate customer invoicing
- Assist the Controller with monthly revenue tracking and cash receipts
- Generate and present managerial reports to guide key business decisions
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience in general ledger accounting and payroll processes
- Strong Excel and accounting software skills
- Collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail
- Experience with Pak Energy system is a plus
