H&H Engineer, Lead and Director (PE)
Houston, TX
Department

Hydraulics and Hydrology (H&H)

Overall responsibility

Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of complex drainage features to support development projects
Design and analysis of stormwater detention basins, open channels, and storm sewer systems
Perform floodplain and mitigation analyses
Assist with preparation of technical reports and cost estimates
Conduct field visits to understand existing site conditions and confirm accuracy of third party survey

Key job duties (not exhaustive)

Required skills and experience

Activities include research: preliminary design calculations and field work and observation
Take personal responsibility for quality of tasks performed.
Participate review of task level assignments
Demonstrates willingness to accept new challenges and learn specialized field
Familiarize self with firm’ s methods, standards, and practices

Desired qualities and attributes

Good oral and written communication skills, good sense of professional rule
