PRG is partnered with a national law firm seeking  an HR Generalist to join their team. This is an opportunity to work with a great group of individuals.

Position: HR Generalist         

Location: Austin, TX

The primary purpose of this position is to: 

Provide general HR knowledge, apply policies & procedures, implement policies & procedures Firm wide, check the Firm s compliance with all applicable Federal and State Laws, do projects as given by HR Director, act as backup to HR Director, supervise HR Assistant(s) and Benefits Coordinator.            

Essential Functions:
  • Manage Benefits Program - Oversite
  • FMLA Oversite and back-up
  • Manage HR Processes (New Hire, Employee Changes & Terminations)
  • Counsel/Advise managers/supervisors regarding disciplinary actions and policy application
  • Process routine HR Events
  • Respond/Process all Unemployment Claims
  • Receive & Investigate Employee Complaints
  • Compile/Input annual EEO statistics
  • Administer Leave Donation Program
  • Retain knowledge of applicable HR State Laws
  • Deliver Monthly Newsletter - Supervisor Contact/ Manager Edition & Firm Edition
  • Act as backup to HR Director
  • Initiate, plan and coordinate HR Training sessions for local HR contacts
  • Maintain PosterGuard subscription; update office addresses, contacts, check yearly invoices for accuracy (August 2019 annual renewal for all offices except Austin via JJ Keller)
  • Update or work with IT to update HR Intranet (SharePoint)

Additional Requirements:    
  • Strong HR knowledge and experience
  • Comfortable advising all levels of management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Excellent Leadership & Dependability
  • Able to work independently and use sound judgement
