Job Description
IT Procurement Specialist. The right candidate will be responsible for the procurement of hardware and software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for the procurement of hardware in support of company-wide IT requests
- Maintain inventory levels necessary to fulfill equipment requests on material shipped from the corporate office to end-users
- Responsible for the procurement of software, maintenance of licensing information and inventory of software media
- Update inventory system with new product part number and descriptions for issuance of purchase orders
- Track order status with vendors and provides status to customers on outstanding requests. Work directly with shipping and receiving on order issues and changes
- Issue Purchase Order and Lease Equipment Order requests from other team members and departments
- Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
- Assist in processing receipts of open orders and recording of assets into inventory records
- Assist as necessary in the processing of IT requests
- Ability to work overtime
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two to three years related experience/training
- Ability to work well within a team
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently to balance competing deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines
- Possess strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
- Proficiency with MS Office and email
- Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday;use hands and fingers to handle or feel;reach with hands and arms;talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Supply Chain Management a plus
- JD Edwards experience a plus
