About the opportunity
In this role, the professional engineer will manage the team’s operations in Grapevine and be accountable for business development and retention in the DFW metroplex. This person will be responsible for performing engineering duties and activities required for the civil design of a land development project. As the subject matter expert, the engineer is responsible for building and maintaining professional relationships and business opportunities with stakeholders including general contractors, real estate developers, and municipal/governmental agencies.
Education / Experience
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license valid in the State of Texas
- A minimum of 5 years of Land Development experience and proven knowledge in civil engineering and design is required;10 years of direct experience is preferred
- Specific experience with single family residential development projects, multi-family development projects and commercial development projects
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all land development projects to ensure on-time completion
- Assign tasks to the civil design team based on project needs
- Work with the project team to create or modify all civil design documents
- Ensure the civil team is using project-specific standards and that the design effort is progressing in the most efficient manner possible
- Apply engineering application software for land development design
- Perform engineering and design functions as necessary to meet project schedules
- Communicate and coordinate project activities with customer representatives, project team, and management
- Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of his/her work
