Job Description
Overview:
The OpenShift Engineer will be responsible for engineering, support, automation, and providing thought leadership for Platform-as-a-Service offerings. This role includes administering multiple OpenShift clusters, supporting application migrations, and assisting project teams with containerization and modernization efforts.

Advanced Cluster Management
Advanced Cluster Security
Ceph Administration
Extensive knowledge of Linux containers (Docker), Kubernetes, and containerized application/microservices architectures
Working knowledge of Java, JBoss, NGINX, Node.Js, and enterprise application architectures
Experience migrating and refactoring applications to containerized workloads
Hands-on experience with automated deployment tools
Strong understanding of DevOps concepts, tools, and practices
CI/CD experience with GitLab (or similar tools)
Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly in written, oral, and digital formats
Working knowledge of networking (protocols, firewalls, load balancers, etc.)
Commitment to documenting processes, sharing knowledge, and mentoring teammates
Preferred Skills:
Experience with SSL certificates
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, tools, and practices (Kanban, stand-ups, sprints, etc.)
Awareness of industry standards and emerging technologies
Container and pod-level monitoring and logging tools (e.G., Dynatrace, QRadar)
