Job Summary
The Revenue Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of revenue reporting. This role leads revenue accounting operations, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SOX while delivering timely, data-driven insights to support business decision-making.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all revenue accounting activities, including preparation and review of recurring revenue and related journal entries
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accountants to ensure high-quality, timely, and compliant processes
- Own and enhance complex revenue models and data workflows, ensuring accuracy and scalability
- Analyze and reconcile large, complex datasets to validate revenue results
- Manage monthly and quarterly revenue reconciliations and reporting analyses
- Oversee commission calculations and payouts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Sales to ensure proper revenue recognition
- Support external reporting requirements, including preparation of revenue-related schedules and audit deliverables
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, including documentation of policies and procedures
Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s preferred)
- CPA required
- 5–8+ years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or corporate revenue accounting
- Experience with large public accounting firms is a plus
Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, specifically revenue recognition (ASC 606)
- Experience querying and analyzing data from centralized data sources (e.G., data warehouses) using SQL or similar tools
- Ability to build, maintain, and improve complex data models or workflows supporting financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills with experience handling large datasets
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.G., Power BI, Tableau) preferred
- Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
