Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to support a wide range of financial accounting activities. This role will assist with general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, fixed assets, and various aspects of the monthly close cycle. The Senior Staff Accountant will collaborate with multiple internal teams to ensure accurate, timely financial data and will report directly to senior accounting leadership.

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to support a wide range of financial accounting activities. This role will assist with general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, fixed assets, and various aspects of the monthly close cycle. The Senior Staff Accountant will collaborate with multiple internal teams to ensure accurate, timely financial data and will report directly to senior accounting leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting schedules across the accounting cycle.
- Reconcile subledgers to the general ledger and assist in managing the month-end close process.
- Support managerial and financial reporting by compiling data for internal dashboards and related reports.
- Conduct cash accounting duties, including bank reconciliations and cash activity tracking.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and system enhancements.
- Provide documentation and support for external audits.
- Prepare reporting required by external partners and regulatory entities.
- Handle sales and use tax filings.
- Validate data across systems and integrations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Contribute to ad hoc analyses, special projects, and additional reporting needs as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 5 years of general ledger accounting experience.
- Payroll experience is a plus.
- Strong preference for experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong capability in identifying data inconsistencies and resolving root-cause issues.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced or evolving environment.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and financial statement structures.
- High proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and macros) and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and a customer-focused mindset.
