Job Description
What you'll do:
- Design, implement, and maintain reliable infrastructure to support our global 24/7 products and help us scale for our future growth
- Manage our infrastructure with shell scripts, Python, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform/Terragrunt
- Be a part of an on-call team to respond to service availability incidents
- Analyze and solve deep technical problems, providing mitigations, root cause analyses, and comprehensive post mortem reporting
- Leverage your knowledge of systems and infrastructure to mentor our engineers
- Expand our existing monitoring and alerting systems to improve reliability and efficiency
- 5+ years of implementing production-level infrastructure projects
- Exceptional communication skills (Written and Verbal)
- Experience in enterprise-scale internet service engineering or support role
- General networking knowledge (DNS, firewall/security groups, VPN, subnets, CIDR)
- Self-sufficient and comfortable working by yourself when needed, but love working with the team
- Understand immutable infrastructure-as-code and how tools like Ansible and Terraform can be complimentary
- Strong programming skills with Python and BASH
- Able to expertly navigate Linux and the shell, especially in Ubuntu and CentOS
- Expertise in managing and interfacing with Amazon Web Service (AWS) resources, through the console, CLI, and SDKs
- Experience with containerization and container security best practices
- Great at documenting what you have done, processing it for others to use, and turning it into automation
- Strong understanding of monitoring implementations and administration
- Working in an ISO-27001 or HIPAA certified environment preferred
- Understanding of Incident Management and ITIL service operations
- History of working in a 24/7 team managing AWS cloud infrastructure
- Knowledge of automation within AWS (Amazon Web Services) infrastructure using CLI/SDKs
- Experience with Ansible, Terraform/Terragrunt, Jenkins, Consul, HashiCorp Vault, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies
- Bachelors or higher degree, or the equivalent, in Computer Science or
