Job Description
Title: Sr. Software Engineer
Location: Houston, TX | Onsite (hybrid potential after first few months)
Compensation: Negotiable
Technical Requirements:
- Requires strong Java coding skills
- Strong Object-Oriented (OOP) development background
- React experience
- Some knowledge of Spring is desired
- Real-time Databases, SQL, NoSQL, Angular (some experience/understanding)
- Agile
- Hands-on Cloud, Software Application Architecture & Development experience –preferred
- Azure experience –a plus
- Understanding of Cloud Native Software Development –a plus
- Bachelors in Computer Science;Masters is preferred
- Must have experience/be able to work with mixed teams (on and off-shore);different time zones
- Consulting related experience a plus (exposure to different technologies/environments)
Educational and Other Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field;Master’s degree is highly preferred
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in hands-on development, application design in the delivery of software products
- Experience in a senior-developer role in previous large-scale software development projects, preferably SaaS delivery model
- Extensive experience with developing and delivering commercial enterprise software
- Demonstrated experience supporting solution development for large-scale, web-based, cloud native software system applications
- Have experience with REST API(s)
- Experience with data stores and databases (including performance tuning), such as SQL Server, Azure Cosmos, MySQL, Hadoop, DynamoDB, Redis, MongoDB, or Cassandra
- Experience with data analytics tools
- Experience with front end technologies, such as Angular and React.
- Experience developing full application stacks
