Job Description
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience with Siemens Desigo and/or Distech Controls, or at least Tridium/Niagara (commercial projects only;residential experience will not be considered).
- Distech/Tridium expertise is required.
- Must have a proven track record of handling projects from start to finish, including setup, programming, commissioning, and closeout.
- Must be able to set up projects from the ground up and assist with the start-up of complex systems, including both air and water systems.
- Strong ability to write programs, understand control wiring, create databases, and develop system graphics. A solid mechanical understanding is required.
- Experience in PLCs, manufacturing, or process controls is not applicable to this position.
- Distech certification preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and operate complete building automation systems in alignment with project specifications and owner requirements.
- Develop complex system programs, perform commissioning tests, and troubleshoot to ensure proper system operation.
- Provide detailed reports and submittals to communicate design and operations to clients, consultants, engineers, and field technicians.
- Create flow diagrams, sequences of operation, bills of material, network layouts, and control schematics as required.
- Develop and test software programs to meet project requirements.
- Coordinate drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
- Assist with loading and commissioning system and network-level controllers;validate full system functionality and collaborate with subcontractors and trades to resolve issues.
- Provide field change documentation for as-builts, software revisions, and change orders.
- Keep project managers, contractors, and customers updated on progress and issues during commissioning.
- Conduct system training sessions for building owners and operators.
- Maintain and expand technical knowledge through continued training on Tridium, Siemens, and Distech platforms.
