Job Description
Mechanical Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer for system solutions. In this role, you will be working closely with our device, electrical and software engineers to integrate our force sensing products into our customer s electronic devices. You will be working closely with different OEMs on next generation products such as Laptop, Mobile phones, Automotive steering wheels & smart surfaces, Fitness Trackers and Industrial display panels, etc. Your tasks can vary from mechanical design, finite element analysis, to root-cause analysis to integrate both force and other types of sensing together into customer s products.
Qualifications:
- Creative problem solving in designing electro-mechanical assemblies from concept to fabrication
- Working knowledge of various fabrication methods such as, CNC machining, injection molding, 3D printing, sheet metal stamping, and assembly techniques for consumer, automotive, and industrial products
- Excellent skill in 3D CAD modeling and manipulation, as well as finite element analysis (FEA)
- Experience working with SolidWorks surfaces or equivalent
- Good understanding of materials and structural mechanics
- Working knowledge of electronics and circuits
- 2+ years of relevant work experience designing real world products
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute mechanical designs from concept to fabrication backed by thorough engineering analysis
- Prepare CAD models for finite element analysis (FEA) on customer designs and recommend realistic design improvements that optimizes HMI experience.
- Assist in fabrication, assembly, and testing activities from Proof-of-Concepts to mass production projects.
- Collaborate closely with business and engineering teams during the product development cycle to translate customer inputs into successful, cutting-edge products.
Education:
- Bachelor s Degree or Master s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
