Job Summary A leading commercial electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale electrical construction projects in the Houston market. This role is responsible for the overall planning, execution, financial performance, and successful delivery of complex commercial electrical projects, while managing project teams, subcontractors, and client relationships. The ideal candidate will bring strong electrical construction experience, exceptional leadership, and a proven track record managing large, fast-paced commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead the end-to-end execution of commercial electrical construction projects.
- Provide overall direction to project administrators, superintendents, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure projects meet scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality requirements.
- Maintain strong communication with internal leadership and external stakeholders. Preconstruction & Bidding
- Manage estimating and bidding processes, including document distribution, bidder coordination, RFIs, and addenda.
- Evaluate bids, conduct subcontractor negotiations, and assist in contract execution.
- Develop project budgets, schedules, and execution strategies. Construction Execution
- Oversee daily construction operations, scheduling, manpower planning, and procurement.
- Monitor project performance, proactively identifying risks, delays, or cost overruns.
- Manage change orders, contract modifications, and scope adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements. Financial Management
- Maintain ownership of project budgets, cost controls, forecasting, and reporting.
- Track material costs, labor productivity, subcontractor performance, and project profitability.
- Approve purchasing, labor allocations, and cost adjustments. Quality & Safety
- Enforce quality standards and safety protocols across all project phases.
- Ensure all work meets project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate inspections, permitting, and compliance activities.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of experience managing commercial electrical construction projects.
- Proven experience managing large-scale electrical projects ($5M+ preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Commercial power distribution
- Lighting systems
- Switchgear
- NEC codes and standards
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Strong budgeting, scheduling, and project controls expertise.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management and construction software tools.
Education
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field preferred or equivalent professional experience.
