Transportation Engineer w/PE
San Antonio, TX Transportation Job Type Full-time Description
As an Engineer on our Transportation team in our San Antonio office, you will:
· Prepare the following roadway/highway design work using local, AASHTO or Roadway Design Manual Standards: horizontal and vertical alignment, roadway cross sections, intersection layout, interchange layout
· Preparing preliminary analysis on a variety of technical tasks
· Prepare and assist with general consultation of Traffic Impact Analysis reports
· Involved in assignments that continue to develop abilities in area of specialty
· Makes independent decisions about assigned areas of responsibility
· Schedule project deliverables
· Collect, organize, and evaluate data
· Organize and file project materials and references
· Analyze systems utilizing computer modeling
· Sheet design: SWPPP, TCP, Utility Layouts, Roadway Plan and Profile, Standard Sheets, Summary Sheets
· Works closely with project and task team leaders
· Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Civil Engineering degree
PE License
· Proficient with Microsoft Office, Civil 3-D or other design software as appropriate
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
· Local Municipal experience
· TxDOT Experience
· Proficient with MicroStation, GEOPAK and OpenRoads Designer
· Proficient with AutoTurn
· Proficient with SignCAD
· Experience with Traffic Impact Studies
